Dealer FFLs

Type 01 (Dealer): The most common license for commercial storefronts, gunsmiths, and home-based dealers. Allows the wholesale/retail sale of standard firearms and basic gunsmithing.

Type 02 (Pawnbroker): Specifically for pawn shops. Allows the lending of money with firearms taken as collateral.

Type 09 (Dealer in Destructive Devices): Allows the dealing of Destructive Devices (e.g., flashbangs, rocket launchers) and related large-bore items.

Manufacturer FFLs

Type 06 (Manufacturer of Ammunition): Strictly for producing and packaging ammunition (excludes armor-piercing or destructive device ammo).

Type 07 (Manufacturer of Firearms): Allows the manufacture of firearms, frames, and standard ammunition. (Many Type 07s also apply for an SOT to legally manufacture and sell NFA items like silencers.)

Type 10 (Manufacturer of Destructive Devices): Permits the manufacture of destructive devices, armor-piercing ammunition, and related components.

Importer FFLs

Type 08 (Importer): Allows the importation of standard firearms and ammunition from overseas markets.

Type 11 (Importer of Destructive Devices): Permits the importation of destructive devices and armor-piercing ammunition.

Collector FFLs

Type 03 (Collector of Curios and Relics): Also known as a C&R FFL. This is a personal license (not for commercial business). It allows enthusiasts to purchase and trade historical firearms and collectables (50+ years old) directly across state lines.

Policies

We are happy to facilitate your firearm and ammunition transfers. Please review our local store guidelines below: Firearm (FFL) Transfers: $60.00 per firearm. Ammunition Transfers: $25.00 per shipping box. Requirements: A valid Illinois FOID card and Illinois State ID/Driver's License are strictly required. The Process: Once tracking shows delivery, visit our store to complete your paperwork, pay the fee, and initiate the mandatory 72-hour waiting period. Compliance Notice: Please verify your local and state regulations before ordering. Items violating federal, state, or local laws will be returned at the purchaser's expense. Storage Policy: Items not picked up within 3 months incur a $30/month storage fee. Firearms left over 1 year are considered abandoned.
